ARTICLE 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS

The Monde Sauvage Safari Park is located on private property. For the safety and well-being of our visitors, they are required to strictly comply with all the provisions and rules set out in these internal regulations.

Each visitor is deemed to be aware of the park regulations and must comply with them.

The rules are based on courtesy, safety, respect for others, for the animals, and for the environment.

ARTICLE 2 : PARKING

With the exception of vehicles belonging to the Monde Sauvage Safari Park, all motor vehicles are prohibited within the park grounds, except on the safari route and in the parking area.

Access to the parking area is only permitted via the designated routes. Exit from the parking area must also follow the designated routes. The speed limit is 20 km/h, and pedestrians have absolute right of way. We kindly ask you to follow their instructions. Any parking space used in the Monde Sauvage parking area is subject to a fee and must be paid upon arrival at the park ticket offices.

It is forbidden to leave a vehicle in the parking area overnight. Should this nevertheless occur, Monde Sauvage SRL will be obliged to have the vehicle removed at the owner’s expense. If the vehicle has broken down, please inform park staff at +32 4 360 90 70.

Camping or barbecuing on the Monde Sauvage grounds is strictly prohibited.

Please ensure your vehicle is properly locked and do not leave valuables visible inside. Monde Sauvage SRL cannot be held responsible for theft, damage or accidents involving vehicles parked in the parking area.

ARTICLE 3: PARK ACCESS AND SAFETY

Access to the Monde Sauvage Safari Park is only permitted in the following manner:

Persons who have been denied access to the Monde Sauvage Safari Park are no longer permitted to enter the park.

Management reserves the right to modify its prices at any time (admission to Monde Sauvage, restaurants, etc.).

Monde Sauvage reserves the right, for security reasons, to visually inspect or inspect using specific equipment your clothing, coats, and personal belongings at the park entrance and within its premises. In the event of a visitor’s refusal, Monde Sauvage reserves the right to deny access to the park.

Please note that it is forbidden to bring the following items into Monde Sauvage:

In the event of an issue involving a group (vandalism, disorder, etc.), management reserves the right to expel the entire group from the park. Students must remain under the supervision of their teachers. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult and must be supervised at all times. Monde Sauvage declines all responsibility in the event of an accident resulting from a lack of supervision by the responsible adult. Regardless of their age, minors remain under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians, who are therefore liable for any damage they may cause.

Monde Sauvage is not a playground: children may let off steam only in the designated play areas.

The management of Monde Sauvage reserves the right to withdraw a season pass at any time if there is a valid reason.

Management reserves the right to limit or refuse access to the park, or to evacuate the park if visitor numbers are too high, for safety reasons or in cases of force majeure. An evacuation of the park does not entitle visitors to a partial or full refund of their admission ticket.

ARTICLE 4: BICYCLES, MOPEDS, WHEELCHAIRS, CARTS, AND STROLLERS.

Bicycles may be left in the parking area at the designated location. All visitors are required to leave them there and secure them with a lock.

It is also forbidden to move around the park by bicycle, roller skates, skateboards, inline skates or any other means of transportation (except cars and strollers for children, small carts and wheelchairs).

Monde Sauvage SRL cannot be held responsible for theft, damage or accidents involving bicycles and mopeds within the park grounds.

Monde Sauvage does not offer carts or wheelchairs for rent.

Monde Sauvage SRL cannot be held responsible for the theft or damage of wheelchairs, carts or strollers left within the park.

Any other form of transportation is prohibited unless prior permission is granted by the management of Monde Sauvage Safari Park.

ARTICLE 5: DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Domestic animals are not allowed in the park, except for assistance dogs under specific conditions.

ARTICLE 6: ABANDONMENT OF ITEMS

It is forbidden to abandon objects on the premises of Monde Sauvage SRL.

Abandoned suspicious objects will be removed by Monde Sauvage or the police.

Monde Sauvage SRL cannot be held liable for theft or damage to objects left unattended in the park.

ARTICLE 7: PUBLIC ORDER AND DECENCY

Visitors are requested to dress appropriately and wear suitable clothing within the park. At a minimum, a shirt or T-shirt, Bermuda shorts, shorts or a dress, as well as shoes must be worn.

Monde Sauvage also reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to refuse access to or escort out of the park premises any person wearing clothing, makeup or tattoos that, among other things, may offend the sensibilities of young visitors and a family audience, that Monde Sauvage deems inappropriate, and that could encourage or disturb interactions with other visitors. For safety reasons, clothing that completely covers the face is prohibited, except for medical reasons. The wearing of costumes and masks is prohibited for visitors aged 12 and over (except for medical reasons). When worn by children under this age, masks must allow a clear peripheral vision at all times and allow others to fully see their eyes. Access to the park may be refused in the event of non-compliance with these clothing requirements. During private special events, specific rules may apply. Please refer to the materials dedicated to these events for further information.

Monde Sauvage also reserves the discretionary right to expel any person whose behavior is likely to compromise their own safety, the safety of other visitors or that of the educational demonstration areas.

In the interest of our visitors and for safety reasons, it is prohibited to (this list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented in accordance with the needs of Monde Sauvage):

Any visitor violating this article (Article 8) will be expelled from the park without any discussion or possibility of compensation.

Persons who are denied entry to the park may not re-enter and may not, under any circumstances, claim any compensation.

Monde Sauvage is a non-smoking park. Except for the two designated smoking areas within the park where ashtrays are provided, smoking (cigarettes, pipes, electronic cigarettes, etc.) is strictly prohibited throughout the park premises.

ARTICLE 8: LEAVING THE PARK

All visitors must leave the park at closing time; otherwise, their presence will be considered illegal. Leaving the park is final.

Visitors wishing to re-enter the park on the same day must obtain a stamp from the attendant authorizing re-entry on that day.

ARTICLE 9: ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL DEMONSTRATIONS

Visitors are required to comply with the instructions at each educational demonstration venue, including entry procedures, safety measures and practical organizational rules. No discussion or appeal is possible.

The staff designated by Monde Sauvage are responsible for the areas they oversee. Visitors must comply with the instructions given by the person in charge of the area.

In the event of rain or storms, certain areas may be temporarily closed, such as Fraxinus Aventure. Educational demonstrations involving birds of prey will be cancelled in case of bad weather (rain or strong winds). This also applies in the event of technical intervention or maintenance. The closure of one or more areas cannot justify a partial or full refund of the admission ticket.

The attendant may decide to refuse access to an area if the visitor does not comply with the regulations.

Visitors must comply with the waiting times at each area and wait for their turn.

Entrances, exits and emergency exits of the various areas must not be obstructed by any object.

Each educational demonstration area has a maximum capacity which, for safety reasons, must not be exceeded.

If the maximum capacity is likely to be exceeded, staff authorized by Monde Sauvage have the right to refuse additional visitors for the demonstration in question, without any entitlement to compensation.

Each visitor must wait until the end of the ongoing demonstration before leaving the demonstration area.

Closures and delayed openings: Certain educational demonstrations, restaurants, and retail outlets are seasonal and may be subject to delayed opening or closure due to construction work, unfavorable weather conditions, or insufficient safety conditions. Visitors are informed that such closures may occur without prior notice.

ARTICLE 10: RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Each park visitor agrees to respect the environment during their visit to Monde Sauvage: all waste must be disposed of in the designated, clearly visible trash containers.

Only designated paths and walkways may be used. Please respect fences, plants, flowers and grassy areas. Swimming in the ponds is prohibited.

ARTICLE 11: ANIMAL WELFARE

Concerned with the protection and well-being of the animals, a code of conduct must be followed. Monde Sauvage reserves the right to exclude any visitor who does not comply with this article, without any compensation or possibility of discussion.

ARTICLE 12: HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS

Restrooms are clearly indicated on the park map. Visitors are required to use them appropriately. It is prohibited to relieve oneself in areas not designated for this purpose.

ARTICLE 13: LOST PROPERTY

Each visitor is responsible for their belongings. Lost items may be handed in at the park ticket offices or at the restaurant, where they will be kept available for one month.

Monde Sauvage SRL cannot be held liable for theft, damage or accidents involving lost property.

ARTICLE 14: LOST CHILDREN

In the event of a lost child, please notify the nearest member of the Monde Sauvage staff and contact us at +32 4 360 90 70. Found children will be directed to the Monde Sauvage restaurant, where they will wait for you.

ARTICLE 15: FOOD AND DRINK

The various places to eat and drink, as well as the prices of these items, are clearly displayed at each point of sale. No discussion or appeal is possible regarding these prices.

Monde Sauvage urges visitors to request a receipt for all meals and drinks consumed.

Meals and/or drinks sold are neither exchanged nor refunded. Once a meal and/or drink has been purchased, the buyer assumes full responsibility.

Monde Sauvage staff are responsible for the point of sale they operate. Visitors are requested to follow the instructions given by the staff member in charge of the respective point of sale.

Any person found guilty of theft (or attempted theft) will be automatically expelled from the park. No discussion is possible in this regard, and no compensation may be claimed by the offender.

ARTICLE 16: SHOP

The range of items available in the park’s souvenir shop, as well as the sale prices of these items, are clearly displayed in the shop. No discussion or appeal is possible regarding these prices. Monde Sauvage strongly encourages visitors to request a receipt for purchases made in the shop.

Purchased items are neither returned nor refunded. Once the merchandise has been purchased, the buyer waives any discussion on this matter.

Monde Sauvage staff are responsible for the shop they operate. Visitors are requested to follow the instructions given by the staff member in charge of the respective shop.

Any person found guilty of theft (or attempted theft) will be automatically expelled from the park. No discussion is possible in this regard, and no compensation may be claimed by the offender.

The Monde Sauvage souvenir shop is not accessible without a valid day ticket or season pass.

ARTICLE 17: PARTIAL OR TOTAL EVACUATION

In the event of a fire, accident, escaped animal, weather-related risk or similar situation, the instructions of Monde Sauvage attendants or law enforcement services must be followed strictly.

In the event of an evacuation, access to the evacuated buildings is only permitted with the authorization of a Monde Sauvage attendant.

ARTICLE 18: MONEY AND METHODS OF PAYMENT

In the case of cash payment, please check your change immediately.

We only accept euros. €200 banknotes are accepted only at the reception. Payment with euro banknotes larger than €100 is not permitted in the restaurant or the souvenir shop. €500 banknotes are not accepted anywhere on the premises.

Other accepted methods of payment are: Visa, Mastercard, credit cards, and Bancontact/Mister Cash.

It is not possible to exchange or withdraw cash on the Monde Sauvage premises. Please plan your cash needs in advance. Card payment is always accepted.

ARTICLE 19: USE OF PHOTOS TAKEN AT MONDE SAUVAGE

All photos you take during your visit within the Monde Sauvage premises may only be used within the strictly private family circle. In order to protect the image of Monde Sauvage, which is private property, any commercial or professional use of photos taken at Monde Sauvage must be subject to a prior written request, to be sent by mail to Monde Sauvage Safari Parc, Fange de Deigné 3, 4920 Aywaille (BELGIUM), and must be approved in writing by the same department. Any unauthorized use of photos taken at Monde Sauvage exposes the user to legal proceedings.

ARTICLE 20: SMOKING IN THE PARK

Since 31/12/2024, in accordance with Belgian legislation and in order to protect everyone’s health, smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire Monde Sauvage Safari Parc premises, except in designated smoking areas. These smoking areas will be clearly indicated on the park map. In accordance with the law, “smoking” includes not only the consumption of tobacco, but also tobacco-based products or similar products. This means that the use of electronic cigarettes is subject to the same restrictions as traditional cigarettes. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a healthy and pleasant environment for everyone.

ARTICLE 21: THE SAFARI ROUTE

The safari may only be carried out by following the designated routes. Speed is limited to 15 km/h, and animals have absolute right of way.

The staff designated by Monde Sauvage are responsible for the area they oversee. Visitors must comply with the instructions given by the person in charge of the area:

Vehicles over 2.30 meters in height are not permitted to drive through the safari. They will receive tickets for the safari train instead.

ARTICLE 22: FRAXINUS AVENTURE

Fraxinus Aventure is accessible from the age of 6 when accompanied by an adult; from the age of 8, access is permitted without accompaniment.

Only the wearing of closed appropriate footwear (sports shoes, sneakers, flat ankle boots, etc.) is permitted. Open shoes or high-heeled footwear (sandals, high heels, etc.) are prohibited for safety reasons.

It is also recommended to wear long sleeves and long trousers.

Specific safety rules for each Fraxinus module are clearly indicated on site.

Monde Sauvage reserves the right to deny access to Fraxinus Aventure if the regulations are not complied with.
